Sea Turtle Interaction
I took the turtle shot in Fiji in 2010. This turtle was very cooperative - normally they're so shy that it's tough to get just a couple of shots. That's the divemaster interacting with the turtle. Since they're an omen of good luck in Fiji, he wanted a copy of the photo to show his mom.
Dennis on the Ridge
That's my friend Dennis on the ridge. We were heli-skiing with CMH at their Kootenays Lodge (now called the K2 Rotor Lodge). The heli had dropped us off on a high LZ and we were making a short hike to get to the goods.
Jean-Micheal Cousteau Lodge at Night
This long-exposure shot was taken from the pier in front of the Lodge. Lynn and I were celebrating our 10th anniversary and it couldn't have been a nicer spot to spend a week.
Big D In Flight
Devin found a fun jump about a third of the way down KT's front face. This was probably his 3rd or 4th jump at this spot and he really uncorked a big one! I used the rapid-fire shutter to take the initial pictures, then used Photoshop to match his position and remove the background from all but one of the frames.
Orange Starfish
This little orange guy is a cousin of the starfish you see on the beach. He was only a few inches across but wildly colorful and perfectly posed.
Coral Garden
Fiji was filled with incredibly colorful coral gardens like this one. I love this picture, but I have to admit the incredible reefs made it easier to get the shot than you might think.
Cozumel Drift Diving
As you can see from the picture, Cozumel drift diving features some mighty good visibility! That's Lynn in the foreground - you can see a few divers on their way to the surface in the background.
RMS Rhone
The Rhone sank off of Salt Island in the BVIs in October of 1867. Today the wreck's one of the Caribbean's best dive sites. This photo shows the encrusting marine life on one of the ribs. Spectacular color and a great dive.
